Chapter Twenty
Roswell, New Mexico
Max and Liz sit in the back of a limousine, holding hands and smiling at one another. As the car comes to a stop, they step out and greet the group of friends and family that are waiting for them in front of the Crashdown. Officially and legally, Mr. and Mrs. Evans, still in their wedding gown and tuxedo, join a party with the ones they love.
A while into the party, Langley pitches his idea of a new tv series to Valenti. He says he is thinking of launching a show about a group of teenage aliens who are trying to hide their identities from the town’s sheriff. Perhaps a network like the WB or UPN would pick it up.
Maria takes a seat next to Brody and Sydney and asks Brody how he feels about knowing the truth now. Brody says he isn’t as scared as he used to be and is glad that Max put a block on his brain so that Larek can’t ‘abduct’ him again.
Liz throws her bouquet and all the unmarried women attempt to catch it. Amy DeLuca succeeds and to everyone’s wild surprise, Valenti proposes to her a second later.
While Isabel cleans up some of the dishes for Nancy Parker, she is surprised to see Alex’s ghost. He smiles at her and says that it’s high time that he moves on--for good. Running to get Maria and Liz, Isabel uses her dreamwalking powers to allow them to see Alex as well. He says his final goodbyes and disappears.
Kyle and Ava share a sweet little interchange of thoughts that perhaps might foreshadow some kind of romantic relationship. Isabel announces that she plans on moving to Boston to live with her husband.

thank you for making that available to us. I've wondered about it for years and sometimes even considered forking out the extra dough just to get closure on Roswell the series. Thank God that I didn't. It sounds like bad fanfic. There were so many inconsistencies with the actual series that it's laughable. Didn't the writers even watch the series? A dreamer fan might have got some satisfaction but candies certainly wouldn't. There wasn't one decent candy moment in the whole thing. (Perhaps there was and you just didn't mention them in your synopsis. Whenever they were having what sounds like important moments, it wasn't covered just mentioned that they weren't there.)
What a joke.
Is there any way you can do this for the other post Roswell series books as well?
I was so happy to find this review. I just recently started watching Roswell again through Netflix, and couldn't get enough. I have one question though, I read on a forum that at the end of Turnabout, Liz and Max have a shared premonition of their future, and it includes two children - a boy and a girl. This was missing from your recap. Did it actually happen?
Thank you so much for this!!!
@Frances. I tried to mention every relevant detail regarding romance but I don't really recall much candy action. And, while I agree that the book reads like fanfiction, please do not get the impression that it is not well-written. While the book (like the show) is a little cheesy, I think the authors of Turnabout were very familiar with the show and tried hard to tie up many loose ends. My summary touches on main plot points, but there are some good creative moments in the book that a summary doesn't do justice to.
@poweranimals. Sorry, no. Most of the other Roswell books can be found online for under 75 dollars. Pursuit is currently going for around $50 (which I would never pay and still think is ridiculously high). Nevertheless, this summary was to provide the "canon" closure that so many fans wanted but couldn't even afford/find. That being said, if you had a specific question about any of the Roswell books (original or television), let me know and I'll try my best to answer.
@Amanda. I just skimmed CH 20 and yes, after kissing and forming a connection, Max and Liz share a vision of future children Alex and Maddie.
I read on a Forum, that Maria&Michael went together to New York at the end of Turnabout. Is this true?
Thanks for this.
@ Michi. It's California, not New York. I just skimmed Ch 20 and Michael tells Maria that Kal Langley invited him to Hollywood, where he says he will give Michael acting lessons and teach him how to use his powers fully. Langley says that Michael reminds him of "a young David Duchovny". (This is a joke since the cast of Roswell used to tease Brandan Fehr about looking similar to him all the time.) At first, Maria misunderstands Michael and thinks that he is going to LA without her, but Michael quickly reassures her that he loves her. He says "you have been the only constant positive thing in my life for the last few years". Michael also says that he played Langley a tape of Maria's singing and Langley intends to help her with her music career when they move out there.
Oh thanks a lot. You saved my day :-))
